How to find Indian Financial System Code (IFSC) code?
For India transactions, it is crucial to identify the correct IFSC code corresponding to the recipient’s bank branch before initiating a NEFT, RTGS, or IMPS transfer. Although banks have mechanisms to validate the IFSC code, bank branch, account type, and account name, any mismatch in these details may result in a failed transaction.
The best and simplest place to verify IFSC code branch is the cheque book. Most India banks now print IFSC Codes on the cheque books. Also, your account pass book should have the IFSC Code printed.
