Role and responsibilities
- Review and analyse business and functional & non-Functional requirements to create clear, detailed, and comprehensive manual test cases and test scenarios.
- Execute manual testing activities including functional, non-functional, regression, and integration.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps using defect management tools.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are well understood and quality standards are met.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, test case design, execution, and reporting.
- Perform validation and verification of application features against requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation of test cases, test results, and testing processes.
- Assist in improving QA processes and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Support basic automation efforts where applicable (nice to have, not mandatory).
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in software testing/QA (fresh graduates with internships are encouraged to apply).
- Strong understanding of manual testing concepts and SDLC/STLC.
- Basic knowledge of different testing types (functional, regression, etc.).
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Redmine, TestRail) is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of databases and ability to perform simple queries is a plus.
- Exposure to version control tools (e.g., Git) is beneficial.
- Interest or exposure to the FinTech domain is an advantage.
